Heroes who attack from a distance with basic attacks, primarily focusing on the use of the Attack Damage stat. This hero role is very powerful later in the game due to the massive damage they can do over time if left alone (with each attack doing upwards of 500-1000 damage), with no cost or cooldown. A marksman's goal in a teamfight is usually to continually apply damage while keeping safe from the enemy since they usually die almost instantaneously if confronted in close range by other heroes.
Marksmen are a key factor in killing a Tank, but against Mages they are melted before they have a chance to attack (usually).
